As stated on the Website of the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka, the requirement of a mandatory ETA before arriving in Sri Lanka for all short-stay visitors has been revoked, and all ETA-related services and procedures will continue to operate as they were before 15 October 2025, until further notice.
In this respect, currently, Czech citizens traveling to Sri Lanka for tourism for a period not exceeding 30 days are exempt from the visa fee if they apply for a visa upon arrival at the airport in Colombo.
Please kindly ensure that you contact the airline beforehand to check with them about the on-arrival visa.
To enter Sri Lanka for tourism purposes, travelers must prove their identity upon arrival with a valid Czech passport (valid for a minimum of 6 months at the moment of entry in Sri Lanka), a return ticket, confirmation of accommodation and sufficient financial resources.
