Currency 

In Sri Lanka, the currency is the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR). Money can be exchanged immediately after arrival at the airport, in local banks or withdrawn from ATMs. You can easily exchange euros and US dollars, but it is not usual to pay in foreign currency or by credit card directly in shops.
